Wrestling finally back on free TV – Sport1 broadcasts the German Wrestling League

The German wrestling fans had to wait for this far too long. Now it’s finally back, the regular coverage of the wrestling sport in free TV. Sport1 will broadcast for each of 4 matches of the German Wrestling League a 30-minute-highlight episode.

“We are happy and proud that we have succeeded in finding a partner in Sport1 who wants to bring the wrestling in Germany forward with us. Wrestling and its fans deserve that this great sport is finally being presented to a large audience again. It is a big step for us to be already present in free TV in our first season.

The German Wrestling League will continue to do everything it can to ensure that further steps are taken to show that wrestling can do more, “said DRL Managing Director Markus Scheu, happy about this success.

In detail, Sport1 will broadcast highlights of the bouts of the German Wrestling League on the following dates:

Saturday 09.12.2017, 4-4.30pm, Weingarten – Ispringen

Saturday 16.12.2017, 12-12.30am, Ispringen – Nendingen

Saturday 06.01.2018, 9.30-10pm, Schifferstadt – Nendingen

Saturday 20.01.2018, 6.30-7pm, Ispringen – Weingarten
