At the hearing on October 17th, 2017 regarding the confirmation of precautionary measures ordered by the Vevey District Court without hearing from the UWW, the UWW removed in its entirety the restrictions imposed on the wrestlers of the DRL on September 28th, 2017 and informed, according to their own statement, all associations affected. Groundbreaking court victory – World Association UWW must not ban wrestlers of the German Wrestling League

The decision of the Swiss district court Vevey brought a groundbreaking success for the German Wrestling League. The DRL had seeeked injunctions against the announced threat of suspension of their wrestlers made by the World Association UWW. The court granted the request today. This means that with immediate effect, the blocks which UWW issued on September 28th, 2017 against the wrestlers represented by the DRL were lifted. The German Wrestling League is highly satisfied with the result of today’s case against the German Wrestling Assocoation at the Nuremberg-Fürth district court.
